DJ Roueche is the official DJ for the famed Los Angeles Lakers, has been the official DJ for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour since 2003 and was one of the DJs at the Olympic Beach Volleyball Venue in Rio de Janeiro (Listen to Mike Tirico call "the DJ" the MVP of the beach volleyball venue)
He's been controlling dance floors with his seamless genre-blending style since his late teens. He’s as comfortable rocking a Vegas pool party as he is hyping the crowd at Staple Center for sporting events. He's also creating a buzz as Music Producer with the group he co-founded with DaCapo, The Suicide Doors.
Roueche has DJ'd the official after parties for the SAG & People's Choice Awards, celebrity events for Dr. Dre, The Pussycat Dolls and Gwen Stefani. He has spun at Grammy parties for Beats by Dre, Interscope Records and Hot Records West and toured the country as a featured DJ with T-Mobile.
He is a host/founder of the Beat Talks Podcast and also the Founder and President of VALA Entertainment.
Tim Hampton also known by the stage name “HAMX”, is a Los Angeles based DJ, Music Producer, and Vibe Curator.
His eclectic blend of modern dancefloor hits and the freshest in what’s hot today has created a sound that has garnered the attention of taste makers around the globe. It’s no wonder that his Jamaican bloodline and diverse upbringing birthed a musical guru.
Performance credits include appearances at prestigious locations worldwide including festivals, celebrity events, professional & collegiate sports. Features also include national television spots and commercials, and most recently being named a Music Director & DJ for both the Rio Olympic World Games and the BNP Paribas Open. From hosting the most exclusive events to providing stadium sounds to thousands, Tim has proven to be the secret ingredient.
Tim is also 1/2 of the music production team The Suicide Doors. The reinvention of HAMX was born out of a need to create his soundtrack to life’s most authentic moments. This need has defined Tim as an innovative DJ & music producer, challenging the limits of musical expression.
HAMX and DJ Roueche were connected by a mutual DJ friend in 2008 and proceeded to put out an annual mixtape together starting the following year. After the release of their H2electrO mixtape in 2011, they changed their pace from mixtapes to releasing an EP of originally produced material. August 14, 2012, almost exactly a year after their last mixtape, The Suicide Doors, a reference to the late 60s Lincoln Continental, were born with their self-titled EP.
The following year, they executive produced the EP Geeks Freaks and Weirdos, with the standout single, “Nino Brown” by Chris Shaw. As their production grew, record labels including Sony, Interscope, Warner Brothers and RCA sought out The Suicide Doors to remix songs for Alicia Keys, Imagine Dragons, Hot Chelle Ray and Ivy Levan, to name a few.
2015 The Suicide Doors followed up their debut EP along with a couple singles and their Kings & Aces EP. 2016, HAMX and Roueche had to take a step back from producing, but not for the typical reasons a group “takes a break”. With both of their individual DJ careers blossoming, Roueche became the official DJ for the famed Los Angeles Lakers and they each went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to play the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Since the creation of The Suicide Doors, they saw an opportunity not just to be producers, but also perform live. Being DJs first, performing in front of crowds was already second nature, but they wanted their shows to add more of a live band vibe. So, they incorporated a conga drummer, saxophonist and/or violinist to seamlessly join them on stage while also blending in finger drumming and turntablism to create a unique live experience.
After a whirlwind 2016, they settled back into the studio, really crafting their sound and compiling songs. With the release of their latest singles, “Happy Days”, “Get It from Me”, “In My Zone” and the official remix of MKTO’s “Consider Me Yours”.
